“Pokorn Construction helped Galeria Alegria with a very unique carpentry project - TWICE. The task was to install a 30’ wide and 8’ tall huge, extremely heavy mosaic artwork at the Hotel Monteleone and at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. The challenge was that the artwork had to be freestanding and so secure that not even a football team leaning on the artwork could flip it over. Christian and his team had each time only a couple of hours to install and break down the artwork while being watched in the process by hundreds of people that wanted to take pictures. Pokorn Construction was punctual, creative, flexible and professional throughout the entire process. The project included building angled braces, creating finished carpentry moldings for the frame of the artwork - and on the spot problem solving with challenges arriving on site. A complex and very difficult carpentry project executed in front of high profile executives and VIPs in awe by the skill and speed displayed installing this 240 sqft sized artwork.
