OWNER, FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL
Christian Pokorn is a seasoned expert and resource in his field. His vision and experience in execution has helped him deliver exceptional service to a variety of clients. Coming from a long line of woodworkers in his hometown of Graz, Austria, craftsmanship runs in Christian’s blood. He spent his summers working in his great-uncle’s sawmill, where he honed his love for woodworking and had a strong work ethic instilled in him.
He brought his love of construction to the US, first settling in Monterey, California, and working on some of the most beautiful houses in the world in Big Sur, Carmel, and Pebble Beach. In 2010 he found a new home in New Orleans and relocated with his family.
Today Christian is married to a lovely New Orleans native and a father of two kids. Here in New Orleans, he gets to live his dream of owning his own construction firm. Through all types of projects, large and small, he's learned the ins and outs of building for the particular climate and culture of the New Orleans area.
The success of Pokorn Construction has meant growth, but Christian still makes time to meet and know every client. They enjoy his friendly and professional nature and can attest to his passion through his accessibility and the hand-written notes each of them receives.
